南京人到了春天都有吃野菜的习惯，每年春天每家小馆子都少不了马兰头。若是你点“马兰头炒干子”，服务员就会笑嘻嘻地问，“要香干还是臭干”，建议不要轻易点臭干，至少我某次尝试后，连带着对香干也失去了兴趣，只吃清炒一种。
大四的某个春天和遥子在小粉桥，要了一份马兰头，店家旺火猛炒，口味甚是清爽。研二某个中午，11点半一个人去马氏饭店，点了饭马兰头，就着小碗米饭，服务员看着一奇女子霸了一张桌只点一个菜，眼神半是惊奇半是怜悯。后来某次和老王吃饭，老王对马兰头评价“简直就是吃草”。
